Kobo creates 30 jobs for Dublin

Kobo has opened of its new European Software Development Centre in Dublin. With the support of IDA Ireland, Ireland’s government agency with responsibility for attracting foreign direct investment, Kobo has created more than 30 positions now filled with skilled software developers.

Based in Canada, Kobo is an e-book store and also manufactures its own e-reader devices.

“Ireland is home to some of the brightest minds in the tech sector, and we’re excited to announce the opening of the Kobo office in Dublin,” said Michael Serbinis, CEO, Kobo (pictured). “Our team in Dublin helps to deliver the best e-reading experiences and localised offerings for our bookselling partners like Eason.”

Barry O’Leary, CEO, Ireland, said: “We see Kobo being used on planes, trains and at home. It’s great to have such a thriving brand name put roots down in Ireland. Kobo’s Dublin team will provide the software expertise and support to their customers and colleagues across the world.
