Dublin-based Kedington has announced the expansion of its operations into Northern Ireland, leading to the creation of 10 jobs in sales, network engineering and solutions architect design.

This new business entity will trade as KI Network Solutions and will be based in Derry. The operation will be headed up by Laurence Black.

In the last 18 months, Kedington has seen significant growth in all its core business areas of active and passive network solutions, wireless and data centre fit-out projects. The company has also developed a successful online components supplies business in Kedington Direct.

Kedington director Colm Lyons said: “Our entry into the Northern Ireland market is in response to growing demand from our international and local client base to service their IT requirements throughout the island of Ireland. We are delighted to have Laurence lead the business as general manager, as he is a highly regarded professional with an enviable reputation in Northern Ireland.”
