Kaseya, a provider of IT managed service automation (MSA) software, is expanding its network of partners, resellers and customers into the Irish IT market. The company, which sells to managed service providers (MSPs) and corporates, has opened a Dublin office and has appointed reseller industry specialist Paul McEvoy as country manager to spearhead the operation.
Developed for managed service providers, companies providing IT outsourcing services and corporate IT organisations, Kaseya’s product is a new generation of managed services software that provides an integrated, automated and remote systems management solution with a complete view of the IT environment. The firm will initially focus on signing deals with the numerous MSPs in Ireland.
McEvoy told Irish Computer: “The traditional break/fix IT services model has had its day. In an increasingly competitive environment, MSPs simply cannot deliver the depth, breadth or quality of service required using the traditional on site, engineer-based approach.” McEvoy observed that the SME sector, which accounts for 90% of the Irish market, has “traditionally received poor IT managed service as a result of this outdated break/fix model. Kaseya managed automation software helps MSPs to deliver corporate level services to SMEs.”
McEvoy, who has over 20 years experience in the IT reseller market, added: “Using an integrated, automated solution, providers can ensure timely patch and security updates, that anti-spyware is up to date, that anti-virus software is correctly configured, and that temporary Internet files are automatically deleted. Furthermore, alerts raised by monitoring software can be acted upon – not by an engineer on standby but by an automated solution that can repair and reboot machines remotely.”
Kaseya plans to host educational seminars across Ireland starting in May.
