Indeed, the job web site, has announced that it will be expanding its Dublin-based EMEA headquarters, adding more than 100 new jobs in the next 12 months.

The company said that it has already started recruiting for sales, client services, business development, marketing, finance and operations.

Indeed provides a job search service, with sites in more than 50 countries and 28 languages. It brings together the job listings from disparate sources, including employer career sites, staffing agencies, job boards, and newspaper career pages. According to Indeed, every month over 100 million job seekers find and apply for jobs on its site through a desktop, tablet, or smart phone with a single search.

The firm opened its first Dublin office in March 2012 and in the last 18 months has hired over 100 employees. Due to rapid growth, Indeed has already expanded into a larger premises in the Bloodstone building on Dublin’s Sir John Rogerson’s Quay.  The company plans to double its current workforce to over 200 people in the next 12 months.

The project has been supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland and Minister Bruton met the company as part of a recent IDA mission to east coast USA.

“Over the past 18 months Dublin has proven itself as the ideal location for a high–growth technology company like Indeed. Our Dublin HQ has given us an opportunity to tap into an incredible source of tech-savvy talent, both locally, from the rest of Europe and further afield,” said David Rudick, vice president, International of Indeed. “Our continued growth stems from of our unwavering commitment to providing the best job search experience to the job seeker and providing employers with place to find the right candidates.  In Ireland, for example, we index jobs from over 3,000 sources and we added over 10,000 new Irish jobs to the site in the last seven days on Indeed.com.”

“I’m delighted to welcome the further expansion of Indeed in Dublin with 100 new jobs,” said An Tánaiste, Eamon Gilmore TD. “ Ireland is becoming the internet capital of Europe with companies like Indeed offering great opportunities to our passionate, highly-skilled workforce.  The Government, through its Action Plan for Jobs, will continue to make the changes to ensure Ireland remains competitive and a natural home for digital companies.  Indeed’s growing footprint in Ireland is a welcome statement of its commitment to this country.”

“Indeed is one of the jewels in the crown of the Irish-based ‘born on the Internet’ companies,” said Barry O’Leary, CEO, IDA Ireland. “The Indeed decision to expand here is very welcome news for the Irish economy and further endorses the country’s reputation as a location to service the whole European, Middle Eastern and African regions.”
