IT Force sees €400k in new business

Value-add IT distributor DataSolutions reports that its partner, IT Force, has seen strong expansion in its virtualisation business in the year to end December 2010, when its virtualisation business grew 35%.

It also saw €400,000 in new business from eight clients.

Recent deals include €200,000 of Citrix virtualisation software and hardware and €200,000 of associated support, implementation and service contracts.

New client acquisitions have included government, public sector, engineering and professional services organisations, including a number of SMEs.

IT Force sales director Joe O’Reilly notes: “Organisations seeking more flexible computing that can be run at a lower overall cost have been at the root of this growth.”

DataSolutions MD Michael O’Hara said: “Desktop virtualisation is creating a lot of excitement in the Irish market due to the substantial efficiencies it brings.”
