The wait will be over for Apple fanboys from 5pm today when the iPad 2 gets hits the shelves. Apple is already taking online orders for the new tablet (limit two per order). It is estimated that over 1 million tablets have already been sold in the US.
If you want to buy a Wi-Fi only version of the iPad 2 it’ll cost you €479 the 16Gb model, €579 for the 32Gb model, €679 for the 64Gb model.
The iPad 2 with Wi-Fi with 3G will be available for €599 for the 16Gb model, €699 for the 32Gb model and €799 64Gb model. 3G connectivity will be provided by 3, Vodafone and O2.
Accessories such as the magnetic Smart Cover will also be on sale, costing €39 for the polyurethane versions (grey, blue, gree, orange or pink) or €69 for leather (tan, black, navy, cream or red). Hipsters or the sentimental might like to avail of an engraving service, where the message of your choice can be added to the underside of the device.
And yes, it will come in both white and black from today.
