Interxion is investing an additional EUR*40 million in the next phase of its data centre expansions across Europe. The firm, a provider of premium carrier-neutral data centre and managed services in Europe, will add about 5,000 sq m of net sellable space to its properties.

This additional space brings the total committed Interxion footprint expansion in 2007/2008 to 13,000 sq m of net sellable space. Interxion is based in Dublin and has been in operation since May 2001.

To finance its expansion, Interxion has secured an additional EUR*30 million flexible credit facility with Fortis Amsterdam, acting as arranger, and Rabobank. This brings the total credit facility available to Interxion up to EUR*62.5 million. The new data centre space will be in London, Frankfurt, Madrid, and Brussels. Expansions in London, Madrid and Brussels will be available as early as Q1 2008. The new data centre in Frankfurt, which will be Interxion’s fifth in the city, will be operational in Q3 2008.
