Recruitment website Indeed is hiring 30 additional sales staff in Dublin.

Indeed opened its Dublin EMEA headquarters in 2012, and now increased the team in Dublin to over 200 staff.

Gerard Murnaghan, vice president of EMEA, Indeed Ireland (pictured), said: “One of the biggest job growth category both in Ireland and across our European business has been from small and medium-sized businesses. These types of companies have taken longer to feel the benefits of the economic recovery, but now have the confidence to hire aggressively, with levels growing 20% year on year in many job categories including healthcare and IT.

“SMEs in Ireland have historically been slow to leverage the benefits of online recruitment, often relying on word of mouth, shop window or classified advertisements. The advantage of putting your open roles online, is that small business and big business are absolutely equal in the world of search. A job seeker looking for a role online is just as likely to see a small company right next to a big company. This allows SMEs to compete for talent without having huge recruitment budgets.”

Indeed.ie claims 800,000 unique visitors per month. Job postings on Indeed have increased 9% in the past 12 months, supported by improving economic conditions and a move from SMEs to put more of their open roles online. Some 54% of job postings are now replied to via mobile devices. Software-related jobs account for over 50% of the most in-demand roles.
