Incomedia Website X5

It can take time to create a good-looking website, but one way around that is to use a package that includes templates and automatically generates links. That’s what Incomedia’s Website X5 does. Installation is straightforward, but requires an activation key from the website – that means it’s tied to a single PC. Once that’s done, it uses wizards to create a site.

As you work through the wizard, it presents options for navigation menus and templates as well as colour options. There’s a map view, which allows the addition of pages and folders to the site, and even password-protect pages. When it comes to page creation, you can drag and drop elements such as video, slideshows or tables onto the site.

You can also add features such as a Frontpage server web counter via the HTML code option. And there are even hooks for an animated front page, or an entry page that al lows language selection, complete with a library of flags.

The site can be previewed at any point with just a click and the results are impressive. ItÕs even possible to change the template with a couple of clicks, and the site will be rebuilt, although this is a little complicated.

Generally, though, even those unfamiliar with web design should be able to create sites easily, and the price makes the software attractive.

A good-looking site creator at a very decent price.
