What is your current headcount?
We continue to invest in talent across sales, technical, and operational roles supporting Ireland. We grow and invest in line with our strategic priorities and the evolving needs of our partners.
What was your highlight of 2024?
2024 was my first year working with Ingram Micro, and that in itself was a highlight. The culture here is incredibly positive with integrity and collaboration at the core. I have been genuinely impressed by the scale and sophistication of our systems, especially our Xvantage platform, which is transforming how we engage with partners and deliver value.
How has your business changed and adapted over the last couple of years?
Our business has evolved significantly, driven by digital transformation and the growing impact of AI. At the heart of this evolution is Xvantage, our AI-powered digital experience platform. It provides partners with a single pane of glass to manage their entire engagement with Ingram Micro – from quoting and ordering to billing, subscriptions, and support.
One of the most impactful features is one-touch quoting, which allows partners to generate and convert quotes into orders instantly, streamlining the sales cycle. We’ve also launched the Xvantage mobile app on the Irish App Store and Irish Google Play Store, enabling partners to access the platform from their smartphones and tablets – whether they’re in the office, on-site, or working remotely. It’s about enabling business anywhere, anytime, with full visibility and control.
Xvantage is infused with real timeinsights, helping partners make smarter decisions, automate workflows, and stay ahead of market trends. It’s not just a platform – it’s a strategic enabler that’s helping our partners grow and adapt in a fast-changing market.
How do you think the rest of 2025 will shape up for the channel in terms of threats and opportunities?
2025 has been a defining year for the channel. The opportunities around AI, cyber security and cloud are enormous – but so are the challenges. Economic uncertainty, skills shortages, and consolidation will test the agility of the channel. Success will depend on how quickly partners adapt, leverage data, and build strong ecosystems. At Ingram Micro, we’re focused on helping partners do just that – with Xvantage, strategic vendor relationships, and deep enablement programs.
Have you made any vendor signings in the last year?
Yes, we’ve expanded our portfolio with several strategic vendor additions.
What do you think are the biggest trends impacting distribution?
AI is the biggest disruptor – not just in terms of technology, but in how we operate. Automation, predictive analytics, and intelligent platforms are reshaping distribution. Sustainability is also becoming a core focus, with partners and vendors alike demanding more transparency and responsibility. And finally, the shift to subscription and consumption-based models is accelerating, requiring distributors to evolve their value propositions.
What was your biggest growth area in 2024, and what do you see it being this year?
In 2024, growth was across most divisions, driven by strong partner demand and strategic vendor alignment. Based on feedback from our vendors, the biggest growth areas so far in 2025 appear to be AI-enabled solutions and managed services. These are gaining traction as partners increasingly look for ways to differentiate themselves and scale their operations more efficiently.
