Forming Servaplex with my business partners.

Greatest regret:
Nothing major but I should have moved back to Ireland and bought a house about two years earlier than I did.

Time management tip:
Time appreciation. Start at the time you need to be somewhere or start something and plan backwards.

What items to do you take everywhere? Or favourite gadget?
Not really a gadget person but I always have my mobile phone handy.

Which emerging technology holds the greatest promise?
Well from a Servaplex perspective, it’s not so much technology but emerging processes. We’re seeing quite a few compliance projects where people need a digital record of all their inbound and outbound fax activity. Software licence compliance projects have also been popular with strong demand for our network audit products. Looking to the future I would have to say the repair and recovery technology from Winternals. The fact that you can roll back an unbootable Windows server to a previous good state while preserving the data is very powerful stuff.

Pet hate:
I hate being late. Dishonesty.

Your most popular vendor with customers right now?
There are several but there are two that top the list. Equisys the developers of Zetafax. Fax software just continues to sell and sell. It makes us laugh when people tell us that fax is dead. Winternals’ repair and recovery tools are amazingly powerful and its network defrag tool is amazingly popular!

Preferred Irish distributor:
CMS Peripherals, have provided great support since we started working with them.

How do you relax?
Relax? I have two kids under three! The only time I get to relax is the walk from home to the DART station and back again! When I get a chance I research and write articles for the Servaplex Insite eNews monthly email newsletter.

Greatest extravagance:
Getting married. I’d never paid for dinner for so many before, but it was worth it!

Fantasy job:
Rugby pundit for a large TV network. My wife says that my commentary from the couch is excellent….not!
