Effective immediately, Eircom’s new pricing structure offers customers savings of up to 70%.
Using a scratch card for access, users can now access one hour of Internet access for EUR 5 where previously it would have cost them EUR 10 to do so.
For a day’s access, it now costs EUR 15 where before it was EUR 20. In addition to using scratch cards to access hotspots, the company offers monthly subscriptions for EUR 12.10 for its broadband customers and EUR 30.25 its fixed line customers.
Eircom’s network of public wireless hotspots includes over 327 locations including Dublin Airport, Croke Park, 51 McDonald’s Restaurants, numerous hotels, conference centres and 141 public payphones throughout the country.
To access a hotspot, users must have a wirelessly enabled device such as a PDA or laptop and be within 50 metres of the access point.
