Cost-cutting: Caroline Godsil, HiberniaEvros joint MD
HiberniaEvros Technology Group, the IT managed services specialist, reports a 35% growth in its technology staffing division over the last 10 months. Last year the Irish owned company announced a new division to supply skilled IT workers to companies on short-term contracts.
The division has been re branded HiberniaEvros Technology Staffing Solutions. It says it provides high calibre candidates for contract positions in the IT industry across roles that include system administrators, infrastructure consultants, project managers, test engineers, database administrators, developers, helpdesk engineers and business application consultants.
HiberniaEvros joint MD Caroline Godsil notes that many organisations sought to reduce their fixed cost overhead in the recession. “Hiring IT people on contract helped them to achieve that.”
She said that, as the global economy recovered, the need for greater flexibility and access to specialist skills will drive increased demand for IT contract workers.
She said that the company was looking to recruit new staff across a range of IT skills. Main demand is for software developers, business analysts and project managers.
• HiberniaEvros has appointed Chris Byrne as resource manager. He will be responsible for screening and selecting the best people for client projects. Sharon O’Reilly joins the division with responsibility for business development.
