Emmy award winning middleware company Havok has won the award for Best Middleware from Game Developer Magazine’s Front Line Awards. This is the fifth consecutive win for the Havok Physics technology.

Havok was chosen for the Best Middleware award by a panel of game developer professionals from throughout the industry. The nomination process was open to members of the game development community and the Game Developer magazine readership.

The winners represent the most innovative, user-friendly, and useful products from behind the scenes of the world’s best video games.
Havok software has been used in triple-A titles such as Halo and Assassin’s Creed; in casual games on the iOS and Android platforms; and in TV and films such as The Matrix.
Acquired by Intel in 2007, Havok was founded in Dublin in 1998 and has offices in Dublin, San Francisco, Seoul, Tokyo, Beijing, Stuttgart and Munich.
