Hadfield to touch down for Young Scientists Expo

Canadian astronaut Col. Chris Hadfield has been confirmed as a special guest at this year’s BT Young Scientists & Technology Exhibition.

The astronaut – made famous by his rendition of David Bowie’s Space Oddity – will be on hand to sign copies of his book, An Astronaut’s Guide to Life on Earth.

In addition to the 550 student projects on display, there are four more areas of exhibits. The annual event attracts over 40,000 people each year making it one of the largest events of its kind in Europe.

The BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition will be hosted by TG4’s Roisin Ni Thomain and broadcaster Aidan Power, will be open to the public from 9-11 January 2014.
