Digital agency Tribal DDB has created the first digital floor at the Guinness Storehouse showcasing interactive exhibits and one of the world’s largest high definition screens.
The digital space, situated on the fourth floor, has a invites visitors to explore the Guinness brand around the world through interactive maps, infographics and quizzes.
Controlled by iPad, the Guinness ‘Community Map’ is one of the exhibit’s marquee features, where visitors can create personalised messages whilst connecting with Facebook to use their profile picture and ‘like’ their local Guinness market brand page. The Map is made up of 21 high definition screens and pushes out video data at a speed of 4.7Gb – the equivalent of an entire DVD – every second. It is managed by five servers, 3D video processors, 2.5Gb of storage, a fibrotic cable network and a custom CMS.
Mark Brennan, head of Tribal DDB, Dublin, said: "We’re really proud to have the chance to partner with such an iconic brand to deliver a world class digital space for visitors from across the globe. We have been lucky enough to work with a client who shares our vision and passion for innovation and this is reflected in the work that has been delivered to date".
Lisa Fitzsimons, marketing manager, Guinness Storehouse, said: "This is just the first phase of a €10 million investment in our attraction which will see even more ground breaking technology integrated into the building in the next three years."
