Google has taken another step towards becoming a favourite among programmers and designers: it has integrated vibecoding into its AI Studio.

Simply put, this now makes it possible to build an app, website or extension by chatting with an AI system. The user does not need to be highly technical to use this.

If you compare programming to painting, vibecoding is the process of sketching. A sketch in itself can already result in a finished product, but for true professionals, it’s a starting point for something more refined.

Google explained: “Traditionally, building an app meant juggling various APIs, SDKs and services. That complexity creates a major barrier between your idea and a working prototype. The new vibecoding experience in AI Studio removes that friction.”

“Now you can describe the multimodal app of your dreams, and AI Studio, together with our latest Gemini models, will do the heavy lifting.”

Other vibecoding systems include Lovable, Replit and Base44. Lovable hails from Denmark and is seen as a European success story in the AI development world. Base44 was acquired by Wix last summer.
