PDA and mobile device users who need to input large amounts of text no longer have to put up with awkward or small keys.
Carlow-based Whitelite has launched its FX100 Flexible Keyboard that connects to personal digital assistants (PDAs) and mobile devices.
The FX100 is solid enough to feel like typing on a laptop, yet flexible and light enough to roll up and fit into the user’s pocket for easy portability. The keyboard comes with its own carrying case.
The lightweight unit measures 230x80x25mm (35x8x25mm rolled up). It is compatible with a number of handheld devices including the Palm III, Palm V and the HP iPAQ. Other versions adaptable to a range of models are available on request.
The QWERTY keyboard has 64 keys and soft-touch key-stroke, along with a number of shortcut features for functions such as opening a memo pad, phone book or simple operations such as cut and paste.
The silicone-based keyboard has a sealed design to keep it free from dust and other contaminants. The keyboard is also water resistant. It is easy to install and does not require batteries.
