Dell has launched the Inspiron XPS M170 – a new gaming notebook featuring Intel’s latest Pentium M770 and M780 family of processors, and Nvidia’s GeForce Go 7800 graphics card which promises almost photo and movie-like in-game graphics. The Inspiron XPS M170 is now available for EUR*2,299 and sports a 17-in widescreen display in UXGA (Ultra Extended Graphics Array) resolution. The screen integrates Dell’s Truelife technology, which enhances the LCD display contrast and offers extremely realistic, cinematic-like images when gaming. Coupled with the GeForce Go 7800 graphics card featuring the PCI-Express x16 interface with 256 MB of DDR3 video memory, the Inspiron XPS M170 promises to provide a high quality gaming experience.

Weighing just 3.9Kg, the Inspiron XPS M170 is light for a gaming notebook. In addition to playing the latest graphics intense games, users can customise the appearance of the system themselves. The black and silver chassis features a full range of options to create a completely unique look, different to other systems in the Inspiron range.  LED perimeter lighting is available in 16 different colours and fully customisable through an exclusive interface of Dell’s power management application, QuickSet. A clear snap-on cover for the LCD display back has been designed in a printer-friendly 6 in x 11 in format so users can place their own unique stamp on the system using individual art or photography preferences.
