Global Pharmaceutical firm Groupe Fournier has installed an integrated voice and data network at its new plant in Carrigtwohill, Cork.
The firm has chosen the system integration provider PlanNet 21 Communications to deploy a high performance Cisco-based integrated voice and data network in the facility. The Irish company, which has offices in Dublin, Cork and Galway, has experience in working with traditional PBX telephone systems as well as IP networking.
According to Denise Tormey, business development manager for PlanNet21, running voice calls over existing data networks reduces inter-site telephony costs. Another advantage is that technical staff only need to be trained to use one integrated system.
