ITLG Silicon Valley Global Technology Forum 2014
University of Limerick
The ITLG Silicon Valley Global Technology Forum 2014 will be hosted by Limerick, City of Culture 2014. The Chairman of ITLG, Dr. Craig Barrett will lead the lead the ITLG delegation to Limerick this year. The conference will take place on January 28th at the University of Limerick followed by a gala dinner at The Strand Hotel, Limerick. Among the speakers will be ITLG President & Founder, John Hartnett who will share his vision of entrepreneurship, technology investment and the global gateway between Silicon Valley and Ireland.
Isaac Applbaum, President of the California Israel Chamber of Commerce, will share the secrets of Israel’s success in Silicon Valley. Conor Lenihan will discuss his experience of entrepreneurship and investment for technology start-ups in Russia. Julie Sinnamon, the new CEO of Enterprise Ireland, will reveal her vision for the agency and how it will support Irish Start-up companies over the next decade. Michael McLoughlin CEO of Connect Ireland will highlight his organisations great success securing inward investment to Ireland from mid-sized international scaling companies.
Veteran Silicon Valley VC, renowned author and CEO of Accretive Solutions, Rich Moran will probe the Venture Capital industry in a no holds barred panel “Heroes and Villains, the Truth About VCs” that will include, John Stanton, John Ryan managing partners at SVG Ventures, Sean Cunningham, Intel Capital , Bill Barhydt, CEO, Boom.
There will be Fast Pitch Sessions whereby 50 preselected technology Start-ups will pitch their company to our panels of leading Silicon Valley investors. This year’s exciting University Challenge Competition will feature live on stage pitches to a panel of RTE’s Dragons.
The “ITLG Young Innovators 2014″, hosted by Shannon Airport on January 27th will provide a journey of exploration into the future for Secondary School students. The students will have an opportunity to mingle with high level industry mentors and take part in hands-on team workshops focusing on entrepreneurial & innovation skills. There will also be an opportunity to win prizes for themselves and their school and there will be networking opportunities with high level delegates including people from Disney, Dell, Analog, Intel, Google, LIT, UL, Coder Dojo and Dragons from RTE’s Dragons’ Den.
