Etsy relocates to Dublin’s Liberties

Online retailer Etsy has announced plans to relocate its Irish office from Strand Street to the Liberties in Dublin 8.

The move coincides with Etsy recently becoming a signatory of Diversity Charter Ireland, demonstrates its commitment to promoting diversity, equality and inclusion across its business.

The new office will offer similar amenities to Etsy’s Brooklyn headquarters, along with updated focus work areas, outdoor space, more meeting rooms, and large gathering spaces. The new design layout of the office draws inspiration from Irish heritage and local culture.

In Ireland, the company is working toward building a software engineering team with two times the national benchmark for representation of women and marginalised gender engineers by 2027 (16%).

Kim Seymour, chief human resources officer, Etsy, said: “Through the opening of this new office space and Etsy’s signing of the Diversity Charter Ireland, we’re proud to deepen our commitment to our Ireland-based community, and to cultivating a vibrant, diverse workplace in Ireland where employees from all backgrounds can thrive.” 

Etsy employs 100 staff in Ireland.
