Entries have opened for the 2024 .ie Digital Town Awards.  Town groups, community organisations, regional and national collaboration projects and individual businesses across the country will compete for a combined prize fund of €60,000 across ten categories. The winners will be announced at a gala ceremony in Sheraton Hotel, Athlone, Co. Westmeath on Friday 24 May 2024.  

Business technology platform Square has been unveiled as a pillar sponsor for 2024.

Oonagh McCutcheon, national director of the .ie Digital Town Awards Programme, said: “The .ie Digital Town Awards create a real sense of pride for towns and communities, big and small, that are making massive leaps with digital technologies. We saw a 15% increase in the number of entries we received in 2023 compared to 2022 and as we enter the fourth year of the awards it is incredibly encouraging to see entries coming in from towns and villages the length and breadth of the country.”   

The 10 categories in the 2024 .ie Digital Town Awards are:

  • Agri-tech
  • Digital sustainability
  • Digital newcomer
  • Digital rising star
  • Digital change maker
  • Digital local hero

Closing date for submissions is Friday 1 March 2024.
