Following on from its call to encourage more students to take higher-level maths at the Leaving Cert, Engineers Ireland has begun offering free grinds to students.
The grinds, which are free of charge, will be held by Tim Joyce at the Engineers Ireland offices, 22 Clyde Road, Ballsbridge from 11am to 2pm every Saturday beginning September 25th up until Easter weekend.
John Power, director general of Engineers Ireland said: “We are delighted to be able to announce that Engineers Ireland will be offering students free maths grinds again for the year ahead following the success last year of Tim’s sessions.
“The recent leaving cert results highlighted that maths is still a difficult subject for many students, even those at higher-level. At Engineers Ireland we are committed to helping in any way we can the understanding of maths and the way in which it is taught.”
Students unable to atten grinds in person can also try a series on online tutorials at www.engineersireland.ie.
