Supplier of zero-emission electric vehicles, Green Machines, has launched the new Doblo Electric MPV to the Irish market. The Fiat Doblo is recognised as one of the most widely used MPVs in Europe, and the new electric version is capable of being configured as a people carrier or a functional utility vehicle.
The Doblo is Powered by Lithium-ion batteries which guarantee low weight and high performance with speeds of 120km/h and a range of 150km. The vehicle also recently won the Turin stage of the 2008 Monte Carlo Rally for alternatively-fuelled vehicles. Traveling 140km and in hill-climbs of up to 3,000m, the Doblo finished ahead of all other electric entries and proved to have the longest driving range of currently commercially available electric cars.
