Pat O’Callaghan, chief commercial officer, security at Ekco, said: “Legacy data loss protection solutions address just one third of the data loss protection problems companies face today, as they are focused solely on content and neglect to identify and mitigate the risks that people pose to data. Solutions like Proofpoint’s Information Protection and Cloud Security Platform also examine threats and user behaviour, which enable organisations to respond quickly to data risk.”

Shaun Bowman, channel director, UK&I at Proofpoint, said: “Data loss is a growing problem, with recent Proofpoint research revealing that 63% of global security leaders reported dealing with the loss of sensitive data in the past twelve months. The information protection challenges faced by Proofpoint’s partners and customers are becoming increasingly unique, so it’s critical that our partners are able to extend their knowledge and understanding of our solutions, to help them address their customers’ challenges in today’s diverse threat landscape.”
