1 April 2005

For all things educational, this year’s Educational Show promises to be better than ever with over 120 exhibitors from Ireland and overseas promoting and launching new products and services.

Taking place in the RDS Main Hall Dublin from Thursday to Sunday, April 22nd to the 24th, there’ll be plenty on display for the technology enthusiast. Among the many interesting exhibits, Futurekids should be well worth a visit, offering comprehensive IT curriculum solutions for primary and secondary schools, including disadvantaged and special needs scenarios.  Michael Travers of Futuirekids maintains that its offerings are particularly relevant in the light of the recent launch of NCCA’s ICT in the Primary School

Curriculum: Guidelines for Teachers (www.ncca.ie). Since starting work with schools directly over a year ago, their programme has grown immensely. Currently over 4000 students in over 20 schools are exploring the curriculum programme with an estimated 800 more students starting within the next month. Other technology-related exhibits include Educom Micro Systems, Creative Keyboard School, Gemini Solutions, G Kits, TheNet.ie and Business Electronic Equipment.

Admission is free and it is expected the show will attract over 3,000 visitors including education professionals, practitioners, decision makers and suppliers from all over Ireland.
