eCom doubles number of FCX-qualified professionals in Ireland
Leading cybersecurity provider, eCom has significantly strengthened its technical capabilities with two Senior Engineers completing the highly coveted Fortinet Certified Expert (FCX) certification, doubling the number of FCX-qualified professionals in Ireland.
eCom has joined an exclusive global community of fewer than 400 cybersecurity professionals worldwide who hold this prestigious designation, following an intensive 10-month preparation period that culminated in passing both the rigorous written examination and challenging all-day laboratory practical assessment.
The FCX certification, formerly known as NSE 8, represents the pinnacle of Fortinet’s technical certification programme and is widely regarded as equivalent to Cisco’s CCIE certification in terms of difficulty and industry recognition. The accreditation recognises comprehensive expertise in network security design, configuration, and troubleshooting for complex enterprise environments.

The global distribution of FCX holders highlights the rarity of this certification: the United States has 33 certified professionals, the United Kingdom has nine, and Ireland now has four, with eCom’s new certifications representing a 100% increase in the country’s FCX expertise.
