Broadband provider Digiweb has begun offering a 20Mb/s satellite service.
A series of packages, starting at €39.95, will be available from 1 February and will offer across the board download speeds of 20Mb/s and upload speeds of 6Mb/s from the KA-Sat Tooway satellite.
Digiweb is also offering an unlimited data service, Tooway Absolute, a limited package available to the first 20,000 customers across Europe.
Declan Campbell, head of operations, Digiweb (pictured), said: "This is excellent news for Ireland as so much of our country’s growth is dependent on the digital economy and it is crucial that businesses and indeed homeowners, have access to high quality Internet connectivity."
