Datapac wins €8m public service contract

Datapac has announced the signing of an €8 million ICT consumables contract with the National Procurement Service. The agreement will lead to the creation of 15 new jobs in 2012, with a further 10 by 2014.

Established in 1982, Datapac provides an extensive range of technology solutions and services from its offices in Dublin, Wexford, Cork and Belfast, to private and public sector organisations throughout Ireland.

Brian Hayes, Minister of State at the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform with special responsibility for the Office of Public Works, said: "The contract… is available to a wide range of public sector clients, including central government departments and their agencies, an Garda Síochána, the Defence Forces, all local authorities, the Health Service Executive, all Vocational Education Committees, as well as primary and post primary sectors and the third-level education sector."
