Datapac appointed sole schools supplier for consumeables

ScoilBuy, a service provider set up last year to bid collectively for supplies to schools, has appointed Datapac as the sole supplier of computer consumables in a contract worth over €1m. The company will supply the full range of computer consumables including ink cartridges, toner cartridges, CDs, and accessories.

ScoilBuy aims to obtain better value for their procurement expenditure by generating volume orders that in turn lead to cheaper pricing, service and quality for all purchases. The organisation provides schools and suppliers with an electronic ordering system to handle the business of supply contracts for a variety of different commodities and services. Its ongoing role will be to manage the day-to-day interaction between the suppliers and participating schools to ensure that all parties fulfil their obligations. 

Commenting on the selection of Datapac, Paula Curran, operations director of ScoilBuy, said: ‘With Datapac’s help, schools will benefit by being able to purchase consumables at more competitive prices and have them delivered the next day using an efficient, paper free procurement process’.

ScoilBuy’s ongoing role will be to manage the day-to-day interaction between the suppliers and participating schools to ensure that all parties fulfil their obligations.
