Dublin-based business communications provider Damovo Group has won Microsoft’s inaugural Rocked the World award in recognition of Damovo’s work in delivering unified communications solutions to its clients.
Damovo Ireland’s MD John McCabe, pictured above, notes that unified communications “has transformed our Irish business and has enabled us to build a very flexible, productive and connected team.” McCabe said many customers across the enterprise, public sector and education sectors were now starting to realise the cost and collaborative benefits that UC applications can deliver.
Damovo Group chairman and CEO, Mike Parton, said the firm is “very proud” of its success in showing and delivering the benefits of UC to its clients. “Supporting fixed and mobile voice, data and desktop applications is increasingly important in today’s ever-converging world.”
Damovo, a Microsoft gold certified partner, earlier this year extended its unified communications portfolio to include Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 Release 2.
This latest release includes dial-in audio conferencing, desktop sharing, and persistent group chat. It also has enhanced mobility features, allowing users to communicate using presence, IM and voice as an extension of their PBX, from a unified client.
