Commtech Distribution has announced that it has been appointed the Irish distributor for Isilon Systems, a division of EMC. The partnership will see Commtech become the sole distributor for Isilon systems in Ireland.
The Irish solutions and value added services distributor will offer the full Isilon portfolio to provide a broad range of options to address enterprise storage needs including software applications delivering enterprise-grade storage management, protection and distribution capabilities.
Commtech will also be bringing a strong expertise in the channel as well as a strong installed base of resellers that have adopted the market’s leading storage platform.
General manager at Commtech Distribution, Paul Marnane commented that, “we are pleased to have been chosen as the distribution partner by Isilon Systems.” Marnane added that, “we feel Isilon adds significant value to our current portfolio and helps to further strengthen the comprehensive offerings to our reseller partners.”
The deal will see users enabled to take on larger projects, leverage new revenue opportunities and create more content with Isilon’s scalable solutions allowing for hundreds of terabytes of storage for expansion of performance.
Stuart Day, channel manger of Northern Europe at Isilon Systems remarked that, “Ireland is an important market for Isilon that offers exciting growth potential.” Day concluded by adding that, “we were looking for a distributor who really understands the data storage industry and Commtech was able to offer us a unique mix of skills.
