Hands on: EMR Integrated Solutions’ Mark Quinn, left, and Motorola’s Andy Beever

Motorola has named EMR Integrated Solutions as a channel partner for Ireland and the UK. The Meath-based firm is a specialist in providing radio communications and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system integration.

The official appointment builds on a relationship that EMR and Motorola have enjoyed for some years as the two worked jointly on large and complex SCADA projects in the water and utility sectors.

The new status of the relationship is already paying significant dividends for the Meath-based company as it recently signed significant contracts with ESB Telecom Services for the supply of Motorola radio communications for power stations throughout the country. These contracts have resulted in orders for systems for Ballyshannon, Cliff, and Marina power stations.

The systems provided by EMR integrate voice communications, plant alarms, telephone and e-mail to improve response times and enhance worker safety.

EMR Integrated Solutions MD Mark Quinn notes: “Importantly for us, we have also been appointed in the UK. This presents us with a range of exciting opportunities for growth. Working closely with Motorola, we have already qualified for supply frameworks for UK water utilities.”

Motorola’s Andy Beever said: “We are excited about this new arrangement and look forward to working closely with the EMR team in the years ahead.”

Commenting on the ESB Telecom Services contract win, Mark Quinn said: “These contract wins are a result of our recent appointment as a channel partner by Motorola.”
