StorageCentral SRM (Storage Resource Management) 5.0 from WQuinn is a Windows NT/2000 enterprise SRM program that blocks unwanted file types and automatically administers and enforces space allocations in real time. It also triggers alerts on storage usage, with extensive reporting and trending capabilities including capacity planning for SAN/NAS deployments.

StorageCentral SRM 5.0 controls storage on devices running all versions of Windows 2000 and Windows NT 4 and higher, and on network attached storage (NAS) appliances running Microsoft’s Windows-Powered Server Appliance Kit (SAK) 2.0.

New features include the ability to write storage policy definitions inside the Windows 2000 Active Directory. Storage policies include space allocation alarms and actions, scheduled SRM report generation, blocking of unauthorised content such as MP3 files and integration with data protection and availability products.
