Central document hubs

Canon’s iR5000i and iR6000i multifunctional printer copiers act as central document hubs and link users to all IT hardware in the office vicinity. Printing, copying, scanning and networking functions are all available and the devices are designed to integrate into existing business and IT infrastructure.

Documents can be scanned directly into the system and distributed to PC folders, a document management application or individual e-mail addresses.

The systems can also receive and route all incoming information so that it can be captured, shared and worked on by all authorised users on a network.

Using iCopy, heavy workloads can be split between iRi machines and a copy reservation function allows users to store up to five copy jobs in a memory while current jobs are being processed. Other functions include job-build, scan-once-print-many, auto image orientation and job notification by e-mail for completed work.

Through a built-in web browser function, instant and easy access to the iR5000i and iR6000i is enabled through every networked PC.

Document finishing features are also offered, including a 2000-sheet capacity in sort, group or staple mode. Output for all standard paper sizes, including A3, is supported. The devices have trayless duplexing and the capacity for a 4,150 sheet paper supply, plus an optional 3,500 sheet paper deck.
