Brother’s HL-1850 and HL-1870N high-speed mono laser printers focus on print speed, network connectivity and a high memory capacity to handle large sized files. The printers operate at 18page/min print speeds at a resolution of 2400 x 600 dpi.

Automatic double sided printing is offered as standard enabling substantial paper savings to be made. Both models offer an expandable paper tray option enabling users to print long unattended runs.

A ‘secure print function’ enables the user to manage easily print jobs such as confidential print and reprints directly from the control panel or remotely over the network. The main benefit to users is a reduction in network traffic, enhanced productivity and confidentiality in a multi-user environment.

The HL-1850 and HL-1870N offer 16 and 32Mbyte of memory as standard respectively. Both models are expandable to 144Mbyte. USB ports are also standard, as is compatibility with BR-Script3 (PostScript3 Language Emulation). The printers also have parallel ports and are compatible with Windows 95/98/NT4/2000, Professional/XP, Mac OS 8.51 or later and DOS.

Installation for both models is made easier due to an accompanying CD that includes a step-by-step set up and troubleshooting guide.
