Big Red Book on the Big Red Cloud

Big Red Book, the Irish provider of accounts and payroll software, has recently announced the pending release of an online version of its successful application ‘Big Red Book’. Embracing the cloud with its ‘Big Red Cloud’ application which was built using Microsoft’s Azure platform, the company will soon be enabling 35,000 Irish businesses to avail of cloud services for their accounting needs. The firm has also aligned itself with Microsoft by becoming a Microsoft ISV and Online Services partner, allowing for further cloud based innovation in the future.

Big Red Book’s Marc O’Dwyer stated that, “betting our business on the cloud we anticipate doubling our turnover and will be increasing staffing levels by 50%, we are expecting to add 11 new jobs in 2011.” O’Dwyer added that Big Red Book was pushing itself into the English speaking international markets such as the UK, Australia and Canada with the next eighteen months.

Big Red Book’s recent move to become a Microsoft partner means that it will also be able to extend its services to offer Microsoft’s many online services, including Office 365 and CRM Online.
