Winternals Software, the systems recovery solutions provider for the Microsoft enterprise, has announced that Recovery Manager 3.0 can now recover failed systems to a new hard drive. This bare metal restore feature extends the product’s comprehensive Windows enterprise recovery capability to include physically damaged or corrupted system drives.
Recovery Manager has long provided protection from the most common causes of systems failures, including faulty patches, user error, malware attacks, and power disruptions. The latest iteration offers reliable data recovery in cases of disk failure.
Bare metal recovery is the process of recovering a damaged hard drive’s data to a different drive without requiring the OS to be present on the target drive, and can be used to recover from irreparable hardware failure.
