Tandberg’s DLT VS Autoloader offers increased capacity over standalone tape drives and provides random access to several cartridges.
It has up to 640Gbyte compressed storage capacity and allows for hands-free backup, as human intervention can be one of the major causes of data loss. The device is rack-optimised for slim spaces-the unit combines a half-height DLT tape drive and 2u autoloader.
The device is easily integrated and administered through a menu-driven LCD display to operate the loader. It also has automated cartridge management for import and export of data cartridges. Users are presented with cartridges for export and prompted for import.
