Irish data solutions provider Asystec has achieved EMC premier partner status following a period of extensive IT training and development on EMC Backup, Recovery and Archiving Solutions. EMC’s Velocity Solution Provider Programme is designed to assist new EMC partners’ fast-track entry to the market and sales opportunities by providing IT training, marketing and sales support.
As an EMC partner, Asystec is certified to implement its own IT products and services on EMC solutions.
Les Byrne, managing director of Asystec, said achieving premier partner status demonstrates Asystec’s focus on delivering innovative data management solutions to Irish customers which include large organisations, SMEs and public sector agencies. Asystec’s objective is to add value to its customers by developing the best solutions to meet their needs and also by delivering this solution with the highest standards of service.
"Asystec has benefited hugely as a result of its partnership with EMC, " he said. "This partnership allows us to deliver new innovations in the fields of data storage, next generation backup and recovery, as well as cloud computing, to Irish companies."
With offices in Cork, Dublin and Limerick, Asystec is an indigenous company which was established in March 2011.
Terry Beale, head of channel for EMC in the UK and Ireland, said that successful participation in the Velocity Solution Provider Programme generates benefits for the partners involved, for EMC, and for customer organisations – including SMEs, an integral group in Ireland’s economic recovery.
"Our Velocity partners benefit from skills development and training which EMC provides as part of the programme. Equally, reseller partners such as Asystec assist EMC in introducing the latest products and solutions to the market. Ultimately, the programme enhances the IT industry’s ability to meet Ireland’s growing demand for cloud and data management solutions."
