Productivity, efficiency, value
“Having staff working on mundane operational activities such as IT requirements is inefficient and counter-productive” Ergo : George Dowling
Innovation is a theme that has touched almost every Irish enterprise. In recent years, enterprises have had to undergo significant change driven by strategy and innovation, from new product development to acquisitions.Enterprises are utilising cloud services to meet the challenges faced by their business.Challenges vary but fall into three categories:
Productivity – enabling staff to be productive by utilising technology to improve communication and collaboration. Achieving true mobility and encouraging staff to interact and be creative. Office 365 is one obvious step but Ergo can ensure you realise the real benefit as well as other tools.Efficiency – recognising the productivity and innovation requirements of the business, we quickly come to realise that having staff working on mundane operational activities such as IT requirements is inefficient and counter-productive. IT and cloud services are almost always involved as some type of innovation enabler within the business. We are seeing traditional IT staff becoming enablers of innovation throughout their businesses and adding true value.Value – to reduce the cost of delivering IT is a misnomer, you get what you pay for. IT is an enabler. How well you enable it will ultimately reflect how well your business runs. Ergo recently migrated 12,000 GAA users from Google to Office 365, not for cost saving but for value. With this spend they have enabled innovation and increased productivity, collaboration across their business
Contact Ergo today to discuss how cloud services can increase the agility, productivity, efficiency and value of your business.

Local and tailored demand
“One of the predictions which is coming true is that cloud is being adopted in a hybrid fashion, which still requires the expertise which these partners bring in the areas of consulting, integration and migration”  Data Solutions Ltd.: Francis O’Haire. Director, Technology and Strategy
As a supplier of cloud services and cloud-building solutions to the Irish IT channel, Data Solutions’ focus is on enabling these channel partners to help their customers embrace and benefit from the economies of cloud computing. Contrary to common predictions that cloud would diminish the need to engage with a traditional IT reseller, we are in fact seeing these channel partners busier than ever. Part of the reason for this is that cloud adoption is not a case of “all or nothing”. One of the predictions which is coming true is that cloud is being adopted in a hybrid fashion, which still requires the expertise which these partners bring in the areas of consulting, integration and migration. As well as offering solutions from the hyperscale providers such as Amazon, Google and Microsoft, many of our channel partners are seeing demand for local and more tailored cloud services and are themselves becoming cloud service providers. To this end they are either building their own infrastructure or are utilising our “SilverLine” Infrastructure-as-a-Service and “Desktops 365” Desktop-as-a-Service offerings to build solutions for their customers. This decision will typically depend on whether they want to own and manage the hardware or would rather concentrate on the service delivery. For partners who want to build their own infrastructure or a private cloud for their customers we offer several cloud-building technologies. These include the entire Citrix portfolio offered as a monthly subscription, multi-tenant security appliances from Check Point and scalable and modular converged infrastructure from Nutanix.
