Applications are now being accepted from companies who wish to locate in the Digital Depot, the first major enterprise space in The Digital Hub.

The Digital Depot will be located in the old Guinness print depot off Thomas Street, which is being redeveloped to the tune of EUR2.3m, courtesy of Enterprise Ireland.

Designed with digital media companies in mind, the 1800 sq m space will have a 1Gbit/s broadband capacity. Dublin City Council is providing architectural, planning and professional services for the redevelopment, which is expected to be completed this summer.

Around 20 companies are expected to be accommodated in the Digital Depot and demand for the space is likely to be high. Earlier this year, six digital media companies moved into ‘OneFiveSeven’, a 750 sq m redeveloped building on Thomas Street.

‘Companies locating in Digital Depot will have access to a high capacity Metropolitan Area Network which will service the area,’ said Philip Flynn, CEO, The Digital Hub. ‘A network operations centre will operate a vendor-neutral service providing 24/7 support for companies who require access to reliable network services will be located in the Depot.’
