The Multi-Tech RouteFinder 600VPN is an Internet Security Appliance intended for businesses that are looking to connect 50 or fewer Virtual Private Network tunnels.
RouteFinder Internet security appliances are integrated VPN gateways/firewalls designed to maximise network security without compromising network performance. They use data encryption, user authentication and the Internet to securely connect telecommuters, remote offices, customers or suppliers to the corporate office while avoiding the cost of private leased lines or dial-up charges.
The RF600VPM provides all of the features of the RF660VPN model including triple DES 168bit encryption utilising IPSec and PPTP protocols, a Stateful Packet Inspection firewall, free one-year content filtering, and optional anti-virus protection.
In addition, it provides automatic dial-backup through a serial port that, when connected to a dial-up modem or ISDN terminal adaptor, can serve as a backup resource for Internet access and VPN tunnelling if a cable or DSL connection fails.
