For: Sky customers

Sky’s digital download store, available through its TV platform, has got a new add-on: physical disks.

Under its Buy & Keep brand, viewers buying new titles and saving them to their set-top boxes will also receive a DVD version by post.

Buy & Keep offers cover new movies at the same time as their DVD release, with many titles available for digital early.

It is planned the service will expand to include box sets as well as single titles and there are plans to make it available to non-Sky customers in the future.

 

UPC Horizon TV
For: Android, iOS

After a successful debut on PC and iOS, UPC is bringing its Horizon TV app to Android.

The app allows UPC customers to enjoy TV shows on their Android device free of charge.

Customers can view the TV guide, personal suggestions and schedule remote recordings to their Digital+ or Horizon TV HD+ box. Handy for scheduling recordings from the road.

For: Xbox

Xbox Live Gold members now have access to top programmes from TV3 and 3e on Xbox 360 through the 3player catch-up app.

The app includes both domestic content and foreign imports like Family Guy and American Dad.
