Safety-Link safety apps

Monaghan-based Health and Safety expert Safety-Link Consulting has partnered with US-based developers Canvas to provide a range of 15 safety apps aimed at SMEs.
The first of their kind in Ireland, these safety apps provide audit checklists and reports that can now be filled out on any smartphone or tablet including iPhone, iPad, Android, Blackberry and Windows-enabled mobile devices.
Once completed on the app, forms can be published as a PDF that can be branded, e-mailed and even geotagged. The forms can also be downloaded into Excel, searched online and plugged into applications like QuickBooks and QuickBase.
The safety apps are free to download for a 30-day trial with an ongoing subscription charge.
Wikitude World Browser

The Wikitude World Browser is an augmented reality app to explore or search your surroundings. Choose from hundreds of content worlds to view augmented objects and places of interest on your handset’s screen.
Hotels.com
For: iOS (iPad)
Available in more than 30 languages, the Hotels.com app allows users to search and book 140,000 hotels, 20,000 last minute deals, and browse more than 2.5 million user reviews.
The booking flow has been built to allow the keyboard to remain at the bottom of the screen throughout the process for ease of use. Users can flick through hotels, photos and reviews with one swipe, explore the interactive skyline with landmarks from around the world, make use of the powerful sort and filter tools and also save and manage their favourite hotels.
Bookings made through a Hotels.com account can be synchronised between the iPad, smart phone and desktop.
