25 February 2015

Ulster Bank
For: iOS
More mentionable for a new feature than a ground-up redesign. If you have an iPhone 5, 5S, 5C, 6 or 6 Plus then you can make use of their fingerprint sensors to access you bank account instead of a password. Expect the other banks to add biometric data to their apps as soon as the bugs are worked out.

Fake Call & Fake SMS
For: Android
A common problem, how to get away from an annoying person without seeming rude. The old method of pretending your phone is ringing won’t cut it anymore so this slightly more inventiveexcuse can mimic actual ringtones and send fake messages. At least this way you can make your mistake with a wry grin and your dignity preserved.

CloudMesh Pro
For: Windows Phone
Cloud storage services are ten-a-penny at the moment so it makes sense that an apps comes along to bring them together in a single interface. CloudMesh does just that for Windows Phone by supporting Dropbox, Box, GoogleDrive, Onedrive, Facebook and MeoCloud. It also acts as a common interface for information stored on your phone. Even better, you can move files between services should you want to sort them by use (work, home etc.)
