Alison to create 30 jobs in Galway

E-learning platform Alison is to create 30 jobs at its office in Galway.

The new positions, supported by the Department of Jobs through Enterprise Ireland, will be in technology, sales, marketing and finance. Recruitment will begin immediately with all positions to be filled over the next 18 months.

Founded in 2007 by entrepreneur Mike Feerick (pictured), Alison is recognised as the first massive open online course (MOOC) provider, a movement credited with revolutionising global access to education, workplace skills training, and employment opportunities.

Employing 50 across Ireland and Western Europe, Alison boasts more than 10 million registered learners and 1 million graduates from international markets including Africa, India, North America, and Australia.

As well as assisting individual learners, Alison offers publishers the opportunity to market their skillset by creating online courses, where enterprise clients benefit from organised learning through Alison Pods.
