Abrivia Recruitment has launched a new campaign to donate up to €150 to the mental health education charity Aware for each successful job placement it makes. The Dublin-based agency has committed to raising at least €10,000 for the organisation over the next 12 months.

The donation level is linked to the candidate’s salary, but if a client also agrees to make a contribution then Abrivia Recruitment will double its own donation.

Donal O’Brien, CEO, Abrivia Recruitment, said: “It’s well-known that one of the most stressful things that you will do in life is to lose or change a job. It’s very easy for people to become disheartened and depressed if the job-hunting process takes longer than expected or that role they really wanted doesn’t come their way. We’ve experienced this firsthand so we know how important it is to encourage and support job candidates because maintaining a positive mental attitude throughout is vital to their overall success.”

Drew Flood, business development executive, Aware, said: “It is fantastic to see a company like Abrivia engaging with a charity that is so aligned with its own business; it makes sense that during the recruitment process, resilience and a positive mental attitude is encouraged and promoted.”
