Epson’s Stylus Pro 10600 is a 44in wide, six-colour printer with high speeds of up to 20m2 per hour and a resolution output of 1440 x 720 dpi.

Epson’s UltraChrome ink set combines the main features of dye and pigment ink resulting in vibrant and vivid colour output, together with longevity of between 45 and 75 years (dependent on media type). The Stylus Pro 10600 is suitable for large format Fine Art reproduction, commercial photography, prepress proofing, newspaper and magazine proofing, point of sale, display, and signage production.

Developed with two types of black ink the Stylus Pro 10600 provides maximum flexibility on Epson specialist media types. Photo black ink is designed to achieve high gloss levels on photographic and proofing media, and Matte black ink is for high quality printing on plain, matte and fine art media.

The user can also easily interchange between the black inks. All six cartridges use Epson’s Intellidge Chip to store print data allowing cartridge replacements on the fly. The inclusion of the Auto Print Head Optimisation System detects blocked nozzles prior to printing each page and where necessary, initiates a cleaning cycle.

An Epson Grey Balancer software utility allows users to set the neutral grey point of images to suit their display conditions, ensuring prints can be fine-tuned to meet individual needs.

The Stylus Pro 10600 is supported by a range of third party RIP’s, from launch. Also available is Epson’s EFI based Fiery Spark Professional 2.0 XL software RIP. It is designed to run on a Microsoft Windows platform and when combined with the Stylus Pro 10600 creates the Epson Color Proofer 10600.

The Stylus Pro 10600 has an RRP ex-Vat of EUR11,330, and the Color Proofer 10600 system has an RRP ex-Vat EUR14,400.
